Governance and business continuity

The TechnoPro Group aims to continue to provide high quality services to customers in the future and will continue to meet the expectations and trust of its various stakeholders, including employees. To that end, we are working to strengthen our corporate governance functions by building appropriate systems for selecting internal and external directors, evaluating the activities of the Board of Directors, and operating internal control systems, as well as maintaining an internal reporting system.
In addition, in preparation for emergencies such as natural disasters, we formulate business continuity plans and review them periodically through methods such as implementation training.

Business Continuity Plan

In view of its responsibility to stakeholders, including customers and employees, the TechnoPro Group has established a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to enable the continuation of its core business even in emergencies such as natural disasters, major fires, traffic paralysis, terrorism and riots.

Business Continuity Plan Basic Policies

The TechnoPro Group has established the basic policies of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) as follows, and will focus on maintaining corporate value and creditworthiness.

  1. The highest priority is to ensure the safety of all managers and employees and their families.
  2. We will proactively and rapidly make preparations to support customers’ business continuity.
  3. We will contribute to the recovery and reconstruction of local communities.
  4. We will disclose timely information on damage and recovery status to shareholders, customers, creditors and other stakeholders.

Establishment and Improvement of Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

This determines important operations for business continuation (such as confirmation of IT infrastructure operations, information disclosure to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, temporary salary transfer, etc.) and temporary business operation workers, alternative offices, temporary business operations implementation manuals, etc.

Employee safety checks

We have introduced a safety check system for all employees, involving automatic e-mails to affected area residents’ personal PCs and mobile phones and system access guidance in the event of an emergency. Via these measures, we have established a system to rapidly confirm any injuries, including to employee family members, and to ascertain employee working availability.
In addition, we conduct safety check system training at least annually, and strive to raise awareness of appropriate action to take in case of emergency as well as improving system operation accuracy.

BCP Training Implementation

We conduct BCP training both for business continuation in the event of an emergency, and to improve the BCP process itself.
For example, in the event that business execution at head office is negatively impacted, we plan to carry out tasks such as assembly of temporary business overseers at alternative offices, confirmation of manager and employee safety, and implementation of important business operations according to the manual, whilst evaluating our BCP and making improvements as required.
